Asociacion Pro Integracion Educativa Roatan -- PIER (Partners in Education Roatan) is a Honduran NGO based in Roatan, Honduras.  PIER has a USA corporation and partners with Brain Spaces, Inc., a 501c3 organization in the USA that supports our community learning programs. PIER began its work in 2006, has a local Board of Directors, and a partnership with the local bilingual education program.

Roatan is a small, beautiful island off the north coast of Honduras whose primary economy is tourism.  The island's English heritage within a Spanish country, high poverty, low literacy, and other 3rd world issues create major challenges for the education our children.  Only 25% of our children enroll in school and 50% of these graduate from 6th grade.  

Our mission is to provide a continuum of educational services for children and their families.
